Statement Jeans

Today’s outfit features these cropped chain wide leg jeans. I’m at that point where majority of the jeans I own are ripped because I find them more fun to wear. However, I felt like I needed something new and different in my denim closet and wasn’t exactly shopping for jeans when I saw them but the zig zag chain detail caught my eye and I just knew I needed to add this statement piece to my closet. I found them on sale for only £15, which I believe is a great bargain, as the original price for them was £49. Now you understand why I had to get them lol.
They’re high waisted and have a zip on the side and the chains add some edge and a bit of quirkiness to it. You know I’m all about the edgy look.
I was going for a casual laid back look so I went for a cropped sweatshirt.
To add some more edginess I paired it up with these black lace up ankle boots I got from Topshop a while ago. I love these boots, they’re so comfy and I can wear them with almost anything, depending on the kind of look I’m going for. Sadly they’re sold out but I’ve listed similar ones below. I summed up the look with a touch of 80’s by throwing on a black bum bag. I love how you can wear bum bags in different ways and not just restricted to wearing it on your waist.
You can dress them up with high or low heeled ankle boots and a dressy top. The jeans already have chains on them, so there’s no need for a belt, as it may be a bit too much.

What are your thoughts on this look? And what would you like to see from me next?

I hope this week brings you more than you hope for. Have a blessed week

x Liz
