Spring is finally here, meaning we’re just a couple of months away from summer. Woop Woop! 🙂 So exciting!
Today’s post is all about how I styled this pretty Ankara colour block skirt from SGTC Clothing. To me, this skirt screams fun and playful. I love how vibrant and colourful it is and how it can either be dressed up or dressed down. It’s the perfect statement piece for your spring/summer wardrobe.
On this occasion, I chose to dress it down for a more casual and comfy look. I paired it with a blue bustier crop top I got some years back. My favourite thing about this top are the hook details in the middle and the fact that it’s blue. I also paired it with some white trainers and a white cross body bag.
I’m sure some of you are surprised to see me wearing trainers, as this is probably my first time posting shots in trainers. Yes!! I love my heels but I wear trainers too 😉
White has always been my happy colour and it’s probably my favourite colour for trainers, as you can pair it with almost anything. You can’t really see it but it’s got some lace detail all over. They’re a comfy pair and are very affordable. I had a similar pair from Topshop but I rocked them too much and they got old so I went on a hunt for another pair and recently found these ones at H&M and I’m loving it so far.
To complete the look, I also added a pair of cat eye sunglasses to give off a retro vibe.
You’re probably wondering where these photos were taken as well. Well I spent part of the afternoon at Holland Park. It’s so pretty with the blooming flowers, so it felt like the perfect place to shoot a spring look.
There’s a section of the park that’s got a Japanese Garden called the ‘Kyoto Garden’. It’s got a waterfall with fish swimming in water along with some colourful peacocks in the corner. So if you’re a lover of colour or flowers, or if your just looking for a chill day out with a lovely view, then it’s definitely worth adding to your list of places to visit this summer.
